The Works Coordinator will work in liaison with the Team Manager, facilitating and delivering vegetation management works and other operations on our contracts. Working as part of a team you will carry out your role to the highest standards ensuring your own safety and that of your colleagues.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that work specifications and method statements are fully compiled and complied with for utility arboriculture contracts
  • Ensuring completion of required site documentation and risk assessments
  • Ensuring operational procedures, safe working methods and best environmental practices are followed according to customer requirements and company compliance procedures
  • Organising sites to ensure arboriculture work is carried out to the required standard with minimum risk to employees, sub-contractors and others on site, productively and in accordance with operational procedures
  • Completing works in line with work program and cutting cycle to required standard and right first time
  • Making sure staff working times are adhered to
  • Completing Safety, Environment and Quality audits and implementing close out actions and improvement plans
  • Ensuring operations are delivered within agreed budget and planned time scale and that progress on contract delivery is reported

Experience required:

Education/Qualifications

  • Utility Arboriculture (UA) qualification
  • IOSH – Desirable but not essential

Working experience/Personal attributes

  • Experience of working within a Utility Arboriculture environment
  • Strong Health & Safety knowledge with the ability to complete quality audits and assessments
  • Polite and courteous
  • Well organised
  • Excellent communication skills and able to guide people, ensuring they do things correctly and meet our contractual obligations
  • Attention to detail and able to work on your own initiative
