The Role:

This role is central to the smooth running of our warehouse operations, ensuring that it operates at peak efficiency. As a seasoned leader capable of managing and developing the Warehouse Operatives Team, Casuals, Local Crew and Fork Lift Drivers. The role includes all equipment areas covered by the Warehouse Team, in addition to the management of general storage space and racking.

This is a broad-based operational role, requiring an active growth mindset and a continual improvement approach to processes. To be successful you must be able to multitask and deliver in a fast-paced environment. Customer satisfaction is key.

You’ll play an essential part in your Team by efficiently and effectively carrying out duties including:

  • Leading and developing the Warehouse Team. The recruitment and development of the Warehouse Team, developing a culture where the team members feel valued and can excel. Planning resource requirements and prioritising daily work schedules. Building competencies and acting as a role model
  • Liaising with and communicating plans and priorities across the organisation
  • Overseeing daily operations. Planning, preparation, organising and storage of all general warehouse equipment. Ensuring that agreed timescales are met.
  • Maintaining the integrity of inventory and optimising space utilisation. Reviewing and implementing enhancements where necessary.
  • Planning prep and de-prep areas for various projects ensuring adequate space is allocated.
  • Managing the use of and set up of the studio space.
  • Developing enhanced processes
  • Undertaking risk assessments and implementing improvements where necessary
  • Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety requirements.
  • Liaising with and working with Freelancers, communicating changes in internal policies and ensuring that they work safely and within these policies. Supporting their requirements during the prep and de-prep phase.
  • Ensuring all warehouse systems and communication are accurate, and stock management procedures are followed.
  • The Warehouse Management Team provide cover and support for one another. As part of this team you will provide cover for the Deputy Warehouse Manager -Logistics and Warehouse Manager.

Your Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience with lighting and rigging or a rental warehouse.
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.
  • Understanding of lean or six sigma approach to operational efficiency and process improvement.
  • Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Seasoned leader with proven ability to build relationships and develop others.
  • Previous experience of warehouse management and logistics planning systems.
  • Ability to safely load and unload vehicles and containers.
  • An understanding and experience of electrical safety.
  • Advanced MS Office applications skills- Outlook, Excel, Word.

Additional requirements:

  • Clean driving licence.
  • Valid fork-lift truck license.

  • Ability to communicate concisely with multiple stakeholders.
