The role of the Payroll Officer is to assist the Team Leader in provision of a high quality payroll, expenses and superannuation service to NHS Lanarkshire.
Applying candidates should have Payroll experience preferably in NHS Terms & conditions, with knowledge of current statutory regulations or have experience and knowledge equivalent to HNC Level.
Educated to Standard grade including a numeric subject as well as being information technology literate eg minimum excel, word & e-mail.
The essential skills required for the post is good communication /interpersonal skills and the ability to use initiative and prioritise workload. The successful candidate will also have the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy. Able to handle all information in a confidential manner whilst responding to queries with tact and diplomacy.
Problem solving skills is also essential for the post role and the willingness to undergo further training as necessary with a flexible approach to meet the need of the service.
