Job Description

Required from January 2018, a primary class Teacher with experience / skills in teaching pupils with ASD.

This is an exciting time for our school as we are moving to a brand new, bespoke and spacious building in early 2018. We will appoint teaching staff prior to the increase in pupil numbers to enable effective training and induction.

We are a Complex Needs School for pupils with moderate, severe or profound learning difficulties between the ages of 3 - 19.

All pupils have different learning needs; they learn best when they are happy and engaged.

We need to expand our team of teaching staff and are looking for teachers with some experience / interest / skills, with a commitment to further develop in the field of Special Educational Needs, especially in the area of ASD.

You will need to be a confident and creative with an eye for detail to facilitate learning in every individual. We expect excellent working knowledge of ICT and full commitment to continuous professional development; full training, induction and mentoring will be given.

Your work will cover all aspects of children's learning, including promoting independence, social, emotional and personal development, in line with the school's ethos and policy.

You will need to work closely and effectively with your class team, the school support team, pupils' families and other partners. High quality communication and people skills are required for this post.
