PermanentAre you looking for an active role? Enjoy working with individuals to help them grow and gain independence? Then read on as we are looking for you!
Our Community Support Teams in Glasgow & East Dunbartonshire are growing so we're on the lookout for caring, enthusiastic individuals with initiative to join us on a part-time, permanent basis as a Support Worker (12 - 30 hours per week). We also have relief opportunities available.
Whilst experience in a caring or supportive role would be preferable, this it is not essential. As an organisation, we're more interested in your values and attitude! We'll give you all the training you need through our award-winning Training Academy, including the opportunity to complete your SVQ qualification.
Our Community Support team provides a broad range of care and support services for people of all ages, from children and young people to older adults, within the local community. We are looking for Support Workers to meet the growing demands of our Childrens Services, which provide support to children and young people with learning disabilities and other complex support needs helping them to access activities, such as bowling, going to the gym, and helping them to develop life skills that will help to prepare them for the future.
We are particularly looking for Support Workers to cover shifts in the evening, from 3 pm to 11 pm, and at the weekend. This is an ideal opportunity if you have limited daytime availability during the week or are looking to fit work responsibilities around family and home life. Joining us on a relief contract really gives you flexibility, you tell us when you're available and we'll look to give you shifts to fit.
As travel will be required throughout the local area, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle with business insurance is essential.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited along to our Cornerstone Chat on Tuesday 17th March 2020.
If youre successful in joining our team, you will be expected to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and must be willing to work towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare as required for SSSC registration.
A career with Cornerstone is more than a job. Apply today and begin your journey with us.
In this role you will need to register with the SSSC within six months of taking up employment
