The Engineering Department at Barnsley College provides a dynamic, vibrant and rewarding working environment where your skills will be used to their full potential. We are aiming to recruit a Student Support Worker to provide personal and academic support to students in order to help them overcome difficulties they may face in accessing the curriculum.
The successful candidate will be required to support students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and must liaise effectively with students and colleagues. A flexible approach to work and the willingness to work patiently to help young people overcome challenges is essential. The successful candidate must have GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent), plus a level 3 teaching qualification (or willingness to undertake one).
