Job Description


The role

PwC Operate design and deliver innovative technical solutions to address the business needs of PwC Operate, Global PwC and our customer base.

The Software Developer will design and develop software products for use in markets such as Finance Crime, Business Operations and Compliance.

The individual will use their industry experience of software development to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our business partners. In time, they will help build a strategic platform of capabilities to drive reuse, revenue, efficiencies, speed to market, extensibility and future proofing.

They will work with others in a team and apply innovative thinking, best practice and the latest cutting edge technologies. Ultimately they will help deliver significant value for the business.


The essentials
  • Demonstrate a track record of developing successful software solutions in Python or similar programming languages such as Java / C# / C++

  • Meaningful experience in industry whether it be large complex organisations right through to small start-ups

  • A working understanding of SQL

  • A good understanding of Cloud Technologies

  • Practical experience of working large sets of data

  • Excellent communication skills and strong problem-solving skills

  • Implementing and following best practice


Preferred Skills
  • Degree in Computer Science related discipline

  • Django, Django Rest Framework

  • Knowledge of Digital Transformation

  • Knowledge of Enterprise Cloud vendors as Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services

  • Knowledge of application architecture such as Service-Oriented Architecture and Microservices and SaaS

  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Analytics

  • Delivering in a highly collaborative agile environment using Scrum Methodologies

  • Understanding of DevOps

  • Knowledge of Process Automation including Hyper-Automation

  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity / Product security

  • Effective prioritisation of tasks and personal time management

  • Demonstrating initiative and attention to detail
