What are we looking for?


We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team to provide and deliver Mechanical design solutions on time, on cost that meet product requirements. You will contribute to the development of Electronic Warfare, Satellite Communication and Data Encryption products through the product lifecycle.


You will be required to create conceptual designs against module and system-level requirements, and produce 3D visualisation data using CAD tools suitable for technical review. You will be responsible for developing the design through to volume production and generating and maintaining the associated design documentation used for manufacture.

What skills will I need to be successful?

  • Experience designing fabricated, machined, injection mould and die cast electronics enclosures for EMC.

  • Good working knowledge and proficient using 3D mechanical CAD tools, preferably Autodesk Inventor.

  • Able to carry out thermal and structural analysis of designs throughout the design phases

  • Experience of designing parts in all major material groups.

  • Able to work well in a team environment.

  • Familiar with configuration control processes using SAP, Aras PLM or similar.



What additional skills would be beneficial?

  • Familiar with the design of rugged electronics enclosures for harsh environments.

  • Experience using CFD simulation tools tailored for electronics cooling.
