Job Advertisement NLC5 £20,665 - £22,127* £397.40 per week based on a 37 hour pattern (with an additional payment of £29.78 per week for those working the weekend pattern). As a Streetscene Gardener you will be working throughout the North Lanarkshire area. Working as part of a team, your main duties will include multi-site grass cutting and shrub/flower bed maintenance, hedge cutting, weed control and litter picking etc. With previous experience of maintaining grassed open spaces, shrub and flower bed maintenance you will have used various items of grass cutting equipment such as pedestrian machinery, hand and self-propelled, as well as petrol strimmers and understand the importance of health and safety when carrying out your duties. You should be able to undertake physical duties including manual handling of heavier types of materials or labouring work. You will be a positive and enthusiastic individual with a responsible nature and have a courteous manner when dealing with the public. You should also be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative. Possession of spraying certificates PA1, PA2 and PA6 would be an advantage as would a current driving licence (Categories B&E/C&E). You will be subject to Hand Arm Vibration and Audiometric Testing. Available hours include: 37 hours per week working 7.15am - 5.00pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 27.75 hours per week working 7.15am – 5.00pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday There are also some limited opportunities for midweek working patterns also available. These posts are temporary from 17 April to 12 October 2020. *salaries shown are subject to cost of living increase applicable from 1 April 2020.
