Job: Reporting Analyst – Business IntelligenceLocation: Birmingham OR HookSalary: £35,000-£45,000 + Amazing Benefits

Virgin Media is currently on the lookout for a Reporting Analyst which is part of the Business Intelligence centre of excellence to join us in either our Birmingham or Hook Office. Please note that our Hook office relocates to Reading in October 2019 and if you were to be based in Hook you would relocate to our new office in Green Park.

What’s the purpose of this role?To support Virgin Media Business and the Senior Leadership team by developing and maintaining robust KPI Reporting & associated outputs which will inform strategic and operational decision making. Establish excellent relationships across the business, ensuring that the defined metrics are relevant and align to the requirements of the business.

What does the job entail?

As a Reporting Analyst you would be responsible for a number of key activities including a few of the following:

•    Develop, deliver and maintain a suite of KPI reporting outputs and metrics to senior stakeholders to the agreed schedule

•    Deliver commentary on the KPIs to identify performance insights, engaging with business subject matter experts to understand drivers as required

•    Work with T&I to optimise the production of regular KPI reporting outputs through review of existing processes and suggesting and implement improvements and solutions.

•    Delivery of reporting solutions that ensure KPIs and metrics are correct, timely, and aligned with official definitions

•    To have sufficient understanding of the business to evaluate the integrity of reported metrics and to drive improvements in reporting content.

•    Help to build a strong team culture by work closely and collaboratively with other members of Group BI

•    Help to drive a high standard of engagement within stakeholders across Virgin Media/Virgin Media Business

•    Creating and maintaining process documentation to support the business and remove any single points of failure

•    Undertaking of ad hoc analysis as and when required

This role is part of our Corporate Support Division, which includes the following centres of excellence: Corporate Affairs, Finance, Group Risk, Legal, People, Property and Facilities, and Virgin Media Shared Services. •    Experience of large-scale commercial data•    Experience of the Telecommunications industry•    Experience with BI technologies e.g. QlikView, QlikSense etc•    Experience of development and delivery of reporting to drive strategic or operational decision making•    Commercial awareness (to evaluate the integrity of reported metrics)•    Advanced Excel user (essential)•    SQL (essential)•    Presentation skills - using PowerPoint and other visual analytical tools (essential)•    VBA (desirable)•    Data manipulation•    Analytical and problem solving skills•    Thorough understanding of relational databases•    Analytical  / highly numerate with strong attention to detail and accuracy•    Methodical – organised, able to set milestones and work at a fast pace•    Professional approach with strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills•    Creative and innovative approach•    Improvement focused - striving to continually improve the quality and efficiency of processes within function•    Commitment to delivering results under pressure and to tight deadlines
