What will the role entail?

We require a Project Accountant to join us in a newly created position within our recently restructured finance department. You will take full responsibility for and operate the month end close routine in SAP for projects and programmes within tight timescales. You will work on financial reporting requests / monthly requirements within required deadlines. Working as part of our collaborative finance team to ensure correct billing and application of transactions to relevant projects and programs. You will be required to maintain and update project performance analyses to ensure understanding of project financials within the Project Management community.



What skills will I need to be successful?

  • Experience of program and project management and project accounting techniques and disciplines

  • Ability to work independently, set priorities and see exercises through to completion

  • Experience of an integrated ERP system handling engineering / manufacturing transactions

  • Qualified Accountant with recognised accountancy qualification or demonstrated equivalent experience



What additional skills would be beneficial?

  • Financial modelling skills to support bid construction and other investment analysis

  • Confident when interacting with all levels within the organisation

  • Understanding of MoD Single Source contracting regulations including reporting on live programmes via the SSRO database and regular attendance at SSRO meetings in London

  • Understanding of Framework agreements and the their reporting requirements
