Job Description

NHS England are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Executive Assistant to join the Health & Justice, Armed Forces and Sexual Assault Services team to cover maternity leave for one year.
You will play a key role in providing support and administration to an exciting and developing programme. You will be responsible for providing coordination and support to the National Director for Health & Justice, Armed Forces and Sexual Assault Referral Centres and core programme teams.
A key component of your role will be effectively communicating to a wide selection of stakeholders, as well as our internal colleagues, in order to organise meetings, request papers, prepare meetings, draft agendas and take minutes. The role also involves developing and maintaining programme records management and programme planning as well as ensuring optimum efficiency of the programmes activity.
You will need strong interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as excellent communication skills. You will have experience in coordination and administrative processes and systems and be able to develop and improve administrative ways of working as necessary. As the first point of contact for the team, you will be able to provide professional, polite and helpful responses to any internal and external queries or issues. You will demonstrate understanding of the NHS principles and values as set out in the NHS Constitution. The ability to work on your own initiative and a professional and positive outlook with the flexibility to embrace change are essential to being successful in the post.
The position is to cover a period of one year maternity leave from January 2018.
