As a Network Architect you will be responsible for the technical aspects of projects and the daily operations and security of the network. You will be acting as a specialist within the team, responsible for ensuring that the network is secured, fully utilised and maintain to a high standard.
You will be working within a dynamic and growing team and will be involved in working with customers to design, configure and implement solutions. You will have extensive routing and switching experience and have worked for a MSP/ISP.
You will be responsible for:
- Project implementation, ensuring that the design and implementation of solutions is to a high standard and fit for purpose
- Ensure the data centre network is optimised, resilient and performs to a very high standard
- 3rd level support to the NOC and other network engineers
- Core network architecture, maintaining up to date as-built documentation, identifying areas for improvement and carrying out upgrades
- Defining , maintaining operational procedures across the network
- Working with equipment vendors to evaluate new equipment, systems and technologies
You must be a CCNP qualified and working towards a CCIE certification.
At least 6 years’ experience as a Network Architect or Senior Network Engineer, working on designing, deploying and monitoring switches, routers and firewalls.
Experience in EIGRP, OSPF, HSRP, BGP, MPLS, VRF.
At least six years’ experience in one or more of the following:
- Cisco wireless LAN controller
- Cisco switches, routers and firewall
- Palo Alto firewall
- Huawei switches
- Sonicwall firewall
- Juniper firewall
