Module Tutors – Business Analytics and Statistics Tutors - (Online Undergraduate & Postgraduate)

Kaplan Open Learning is looking to add to its existing pool of Module Tutors to teach on its Business Analytics and Statistics modules at all levels of study on its undergraduate and postgraduate Business programmes which are part of our University of Essex Online portfolio. 

There is the potential for involvement in module content development in the future.

The role of Module Tutor includes moderating and grading assignments and discussion forums, providing online webinar sessions, answering queries from students, reviewing module content and liaising with the Programme team to aid the smooth running of the module and support student progression. The work will be undertaken from home anywhere in the UK with reliable broadband, on a flexible, freelance contract basis.

Once experienced in tutoring, opportunities for module development and content refreshment may involve developing online teaching materials, including the recording of audio lecturecasts, identification of appropriate reading, and assessment design.

Full support and training will be provided in close collaboration with the Programme team.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

• Experience of higher education tutoring in the area of;
• Data Management, Modelling, and Design,
• Statistics for Business,
• Data Visualisation and Interpretation,
• Data Analytics for Managers and
• Data Analytics
• PhD or in Analytics and/or Business Statistics, or very close to completing doctoral study. A Masters in these subject areas will be considered.
• Confidence with Specific software: Tableau, R. Python Codio

• Experience of working in the area of business operations listed in this advertisement and within an online environment would be highly desirable
