A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated clinician to join our excellent Dermatology team in Singleton Hospital. You will join the two current Consultant Dermatologists in a busy dermatology service at the Hospital. Singleton Hospital has a dedicated dermatology outpatients area, not shared with other specialties. We offer a full range of dermatology services including narrow band UVB, PUVA, contact dermatitis patch testing service, pigmented lesion clinic, paediatric dermatology clinic, leg ulcer clinics and a range of specialty nurse led clinics. Surgery is carried out in 2 dedicated outpatients theatres. The main plastic and reconstructive surgery unit for South Wales is at Morriston Hospital, Swansea and we have excellent links with our colleagues in plastic surgery, maxillo-facial surgery, ENT, histopathology and oncology. There are weekly meetings of the skin cancer MDT which is both the local MDT and the specialist MDT for the South West Wales area.

Swansea Bay University Health Board has responsibility for the health of over 500,000 people and is one of the largest providers of integrated healthcare in the UK. With a budget of over £1 billion and employing 12,000 people the Health Board provides acute, tertiary, intermediate, mental health, community and primary care services to people in Neath, Port Talbot, Swansea and beyond. We are a University Health Board working in partnership with Swansea University, Swansea School of Medicine, the School of Health Science and the Institute of Life Science.

Swansea is Wales' second-largest city, and sits on the five-mile sweep of Swansea Bay. An ideal base for exploring south-west Wales, there's also much on offer for visitors in Swansea itself. Swansea has a range of shops, cozy cafes, great restaurants, art galleries as well as being able to offer superb outdoor lifestyle with its beautiful coastline and beaches on the Gower Peninsula. Swansea also has excellent sporting facilities including the Wales National pool, within walking distance from Singleton Hospital and Liberty Stadium home to the Ospreys Rugby Team and Swansea City Football club.
