I am currently looking for a Graduate to join a secondary school based in Hayes. The school are looking for confident, hard working graduates from any discipline to to join them on a long term to permanent basis ASAP as a teaching assistant.
A Teaching Partner is a challenging but extremely rewarding role that involves playing an active role in the school environment, taking full classes and implementing behaviour policies confidently and effectively. There are vacancies in both the primary and secondary sites.
This position will suit someone who is confident, patient and has a passion for education and establishing a career. The school needs education professionals who can hit the ground running and immerse themselves into school life from day one. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates looking for a position that is rewarding and can offer progression. For the right candidates there will be the opportunity for you to stay with the school on a permanent contract and they will put you through your teacher training.
As well as the above, candidates will also be expected to:
- help professional staff to achieve their objectives
- assist children on an individual basis, in small group and whole class work
- explain tasks simply and clearly and foster independence
- supervise children, and adhere to defined
- behaviour management policies
- accept and respond to authority and supervision;
- work with guidance, but under limited supervision;
- liaise and communicate effectively with others;
- demonstrate good organisational skills;
- reflect on and develop professional practice;
- display work effectively, and make and maintain basic teaching resources.
As well as the above, the school are looking for graduates with a great personality, the ability to hit the ground running and get involved in the school community from the get go. An interest in pursuing a career in teaching would also be advantageous due to the training on offer once the initial one year contract is complete.
