Q: Are you a recent English Graduate, seeking a new and exciting opportunity as an English Teaching Assistant?

Q: As an English Graduate, would you benefit from spending a year in a Secondary School environment before training to become an English Teacher?

Edustaff are currently working with a large Secondary School of 'The Arts', who are looking to welcome a knowledgeable and enthusiastic English Graduate into their English department as an English Teaching Assistant from September 2018. This is an immediate, full-time position for the entire academic year!

*** Maidstone, Kent ***
*** Pay: £60-£70 per day ***
*** Large and progressive Secondary School ***
*** Long term – full time position ***

English Teaching Assistant: THE ROLE –

•    Working across KS3 in the English department as an English Teaching Assistant
•    Working closely with the Head of English
•    Working on a 1:1 and classroom basis with high achieving and lower ability students
•    Running English based intervention groups
•    Between the hours of 9.00am-4.00pm Monday- Friday

English Teaching Assistant: THE SCHOOL –

•    Well known and progressive Secondary School
•    Fun and creative curriculum
•    A Secondary School of The Arts
•    Based in the depths of Maidstone, Kent
•    Extensive grounds and training networks
•    Welcoming and supportive SLT

English Teaching Assistant: YOU –

•    An English Graduate who has achieved at least a 2:1 in their university degree
•    Excellent academic background including (GCSE and A Levels)
•    Exceptional subject knowledge
•    A keen interest in becoming a Secondary English Teacher
•    Experience with secondary aged students is beneficial but not essential
