As a Quality Assurance Analyst you are responsible for the quality of our Digital team deliverables.  You will be required to provide estimates and impact assessments, plan, run and report on testing as well as liaise with developers to ensure new features, changes and fixes are of a high standard.

You'll work closely with Project Managers/Scrum Masters to identify and provide the quality assurance each project needs. You'll make critical decisions about when a deliverable should be seen by senior stakeholders and you'll sign off all web pages and applications as part of UAT.

You will be working within a structured Agile project environment as well as assisting in urgent fixes to live service impacting issues so flexibility to manage priorities is essential.

Occasional flexible working may be required to support large scale Change deployments out of business hours.

Occasional travel to other Digital sites - Hammersmith (London), Birmingham and Manchester may be required.


Key accountabilities:

• Provide testing estimates, plans and scripts.
• Assure the end to end customer journey accurately reflects change/project brief
• Test applications prior to review and deployment.
• Execute test plans, writing and implementing test scripts and test scenarios for all forms of testing - Acceptance/Functional/Non-Functional/Regression/Performance & Smoke Testing.
• Review and sign off on documentation ensuring development notes are accurate and in scope of the Project
• Test across multiple browsers and devices ensuring a consistent multiplatform customer journey/experience
• You will be Identifying, logging and managing issues raised by testing
• Present testing results to internal stakeholders
• Some out of business hours working will be required to assist with release rehearsals and overnight deployments


Required key skills (functional / technical):

• Ability to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of test tracking software
• Good communication skills (written, verbal and visual representation)

Required qualifications/experience:

• 4+ years of practical testing experience in a Digital environment
• ISEB certified preferable
• Good understanding of testing theory and appropriate tools.
• Knowledge of executing test plans, writing and implementing test scripts.
• Ability to work with functional specifications, wireframes, user cases, sitemaps and translate them into testing specifications.
• Testing in multiple Browsers and different mobile platforms
• Experience in Frontend testing and Web accessibility
• Good understanding of exploratory testing
• Solid understanding of the principles of testing and knowledge of User Acceptance Testing processes
• A track record of delivering well tested applications.
• Experience in working on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in using Testing tools
• Experience with all aspects of the software development lifecycle, QA lifecycle, including the analysis and review of requirements and specifications, writing test plans, test cases, test scripts
