The role itself and what you’ll do?

The Digital Optimisation Analyst role sits within the Digital Insight and Strategy team.  Working very closely with the Digital Product teams, it requires the build and management of Optimisation (AB tests to increase value as such CRO, revenue, drive interactions, call-deflection etc.) & Personalisation (segmentation and targeting) activities within a fast-paced Agile environment and providing best in class data-driven actionable Insight.  You will be working towards growing the velocity and quality of Digital initiatives.  The teams mission statement is ‘drive intelligent personalisation whilst optimising for all’

This role can be based either in our Birmingham or London offices.

Principle responsibilities:

• Act as SME and gate-keeper for optimisations by guiding on testing standards for A/B and multi-variate testing of optimisations, including validation of test ideas, PIE scoring, impact on testing roadmap, ideation, test design, test execution, test analysis and deep dives (presenting recommendations back to stakeholders)• Work towards the teams KPIs: Velocity of activity volume, success rate of tests, gathering actionable insight from deep dives which feed into further iterations of test hypothesis• Support product teams towards business goals including conversion rate optimisation and call reduction.• Execute and govern optimisation tests and personalisation campaigns via Adobe Target and Adobe Audience Manager end to end – from campaign design to evaluation.• Act as business owner of the VM digital targeting platforms - maximising the value of the tools, and ensuring we continually improve them and expand capabilities to add more value to the business• Proactive analysis of digital journey data to identify areas for optimisation and/or personalisation through Adobe Analytics and other data manipulation tools• Working collaboratively with Product teams to support developing solutions that will optimise the experience – either for all users or specific audiences• Be flexible in travel to other office locations, i.e London, Birmingham, Manchester

Required critical competencies and behaviours:

Required key skills (functional / technical):

• Analytical and technical expertise in setting up and analysing controlled activities and campaigns• Ability to take data and turn it into insight – and recommendations for action• Intimately familiar with a broad range of analytical approaches in their specialist area and the application in a business context• Ability to code and interpret data sets using SQL, R, Python would be useful• Ability to communicate persuasively and influence stakeholders effectively.• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in a high pressure, sometimes regulated, environment.• Relationship-building skills – and ability to gain influence with key stakeholders in order to drive data-driven decisions.• Innovative thinking - ability to think around an issue and solve problems

Required qualifications/experience:

• Degree in a numerical or science related subject preferred• Strong experience using in an Analytics & AB testing software (ideally Adobe but Google will be considered)  • Experience of Adobe Data Workbench is beneficial• Extremely proficient in Excel• Experience in a similar role, with a track record in supporting Digital optimisations from an analytical and technical perspective.
