Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow in General Surgery based at Royal Glamorgan Hospital and Prince Charles Hospital. Both hospitals are busy and exciting units offering a wide range of sub speciality general surgical services.
The role will cover all aspects of General Surgical Services working at junior level. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates who wish to gain wider experience in the speciality in an acute setting and help prepare them for a higher training in general surgery.
The successful candidate will be required to work on the junior combined rota with on call commitment 1:12 inclusive.
The post is not formally recognised for training purposes however there is a structure training programme in place. The department also has has a keen and well supported clinical audit and research record with recent presentations at both national and international meetings.

With effect from 1st April 2017 points 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 on AfC Pay Band 1 and Pay Band 2 will be adjusted to £16,523 to reflect the incorporation of the living wage £8.45 per hour.
