Farmhouse Inns have some of the most welcoming, fun-filled, family friendly pubs in the country. We’re looking for a Bar and Waiting Apprentice to join their team at Beechwood Farm - Woolston who’s enthusiastic and passionate about delivering an amazing service to customers.
Farmhouse Inns provide a vast range of tasty pub favourites as well as a traditional daily carvery with a fantastic choice of fresh vegetables and succulent roasted joints of meat. Your daily duties will include:
Maintenance of a safe, hygienic and secure working environment
Working effectively as part of a hospitality team
Serve food at the table
Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation
Serve alcoholic and soft drinks
Keep up to date with new products, menus and promotions
Adhere to company policies and procedures and licensing laws
Be involved and contribute at all team meetings
Carry out instructions as given by management and head office

Greene King pay National Minimum wage for age, including their Apprentices. The current minimum wage rates are £4.35 an hour for under 18's, £6.15 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £7.70 for anyone aged 21 to 24 and £8.21 for those over 25. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week). For your information, the current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.90 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year, however this is not relevant with Greene King.
