Business Support Administrator

Management Grouping: Finance & Corporate Services

Team: Customer Services & Business Support

Location: Queen Elizabeth Hospital 

Salary: £18,657 - £19,623

Contract: Permanent – 36 hours per week

Closing Date: 12th November 2017

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and flexible Business Support Administrator to provide comprehensive support to a range of services across the Council to meet the core business needs of the service. The position will work within one of our Business Support Teams in the Civic Offices in Bexleyheath, which cover a range of service areas including Education, Social Care, HR and Legal. This position will work primarily within the Schools and Education Hub, with a key focus on the Bexley Traded Services Helpdesk. The post holder would be expected to have an understanding of trading currently with schools and the frontline system.

 The Council is currently going through many changes, as well as providing high quality services to the residents of Bexley. This is an exciting time to be part of this new environment and new strategies that will be evolving, with business support playing a key role in many of the changes. The Business Support teams play an important role in providing both generic andspecialist support to services across Bexley.

Previous experience of minute taking would be an advantage as this a key task for these roles. You will also need to be able to work on your own initiative, work as part of a team and be committed to ensuring high levels of customer care.

In order to succeed in this post, you will need a good standard of education and must have excellent ICT skills and knowledge, as well as a flair for assisting with promotion of services, aiming towards a more digitalised environment. You will need to be an effective and confident communicator, able to liaise well with staff at all levels, including the public and other partner agencies. 

You will also need to work to tight deadlines, be able work effectively under pressure and be proactive in forward thinking with the ability to prioritise to meet statutory deadlines.
