THIS IS A FIXED TERM POST FOR 6 MONTHS TO COVER SECONDMENT

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work as an Administrative Assistant working with the Directorate Management Team based at the Mental Health Unit, Royal Glamorgan Hospital. The successful candidate will need to be forward thinking, be able to adapt quickly to new situations as and when they arise and be able to provide a full range of administrative duties to support the team.
Good organisational and communication skills are essential as well as a flexible approach to work, along with an ability to deal with highly confidential and sometimes controversial situations with sensitivity and diplomacy. The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a similar role. A good general education, and an NVQIII Business Administration or a willingness to work towards achieving this qualification. Experience of minute taking and diary management is essential.
The successful candidate will need to be able to portray a positive professional image and be able to work in a challenging environment adapting quickly to ever changing priorities.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.

With effect from 1st April 2017 points 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 on AfC Pay Band 1 and Pay Band 2 will be adjusted to £16,523 to reflect the incorporation of the living wage £8.45 per hour.
