Admin Assistant

Based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, our client is a well established local company looking for an Admin Assistant to join their team for an initial one month temporary assignment although there is a permanent position within the business as well. The temporary position is to start ASAP.

This job would suit an Administrator with a minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role. The job will involve assisting the Quality Manager with a wide variety of business administration and compliance activities and ensure that company promotion and marketing initiatives are maintained.

This company has a strong family ethos with over 15 years' experience in their field and are passionate about developing their staff with targeted personal progression. The business has a strong ethos around providing high levels of service and accuracy in its delivery to its clients so this is an important cultural fit for new starters.

The successful individual will have previous office administration experience and any knowledge of quality or compliance areas of the business would be highly beneficial. The candidate will need good IT skills with knowledge of Internet, email systems and Microsoft Office Packages. It is essential the individual has a positive attitude towards work and is energetic and motivated.

Duties will include:

  • To assist in the compliance and business improvement activities, management system documentation for the entire business
  • Assist with the preparation of external audits
  • Assist the Quality Manager with the administration of the company website and completion of client questionnaires, supplier registrations, certifications and online databases
  • Assist the Quality Manager with implementation and training of the cloud based system
  • General duties of data inputting, document control, filing and associated office duties as and when required
  • Ensure all relevant certifications are valid
  • Answer the phone in a professional and polite manner
  • Complete any scanning and filing as and when required
  • Assist the purchasing, accounts and estimating departments when required
