Senior Nurse vacancy within South Lanarkshire H & SCP with the team consisting of the areas of advanced practice, general practice nursing and locality nursing.

This is a fabulous opportunity to work alongside the team in primary care and lead the team of ANPs.

The focus of this post holder will be to lead the continuous development and evolution of a team of Advanced Practitioners providing advanced practice skills in assessment, diagnosis, intervention and treatment of patients in community/primary care settings across North and South Lanarkshire Health & Social Care Partnerships (HSCP), including Urgent Care, Out of Hours Services. The post holder will ensure effective communication and governance systems are in place for the team of Advanced Nurse Practitioners.

The post holder will lead on service development whilst maintaining safe care provision to meet the needs of people accessing NHS Lanarkshire OOH's and Primary Care Services across both North and South H&SCPs. Exploring, testing and embedding into practice new ways of working and models for future care delivery.

The post holder will be responsible for the ongoing management of the Advanced Practitioners with the intention of creating safe working practices, role modelling Advanced Practice and providing expert clinical advice and support as an integral part of the HSCPs and NHSL Urgent Care in hours and OOH's team.

The service will comprise Advanced Practitioners working in areas such as OOH's services, GP surgeries, community hospitals and home visits. The post holder will lead and line manage the team providing expert leadership and guidance.

You must be a Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration and be Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level.

Be able to demonstrate knowledge of NHS Scotland's Leadership Qualities framework or equivalent framework and possess Management knowledge gained through experience and continuous professional development.

Professional, leadership and managerial experience within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently along with extensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the health care agenda and experience of assessing training needs.
