5 Locations

Barnard Castle - Durham
Moira House - East Sussex
Bethany School - Kent
Rossall School - Lancashire
Oakhill School - Lancashire

1 - 6 Residential Week contracts available

To ensure the successful and smooth running of the Sports Academy Courses, working collaboratively with colleagues to plan, prepare and deliver a fun, enjoyable and memorable experience for all students participating in the academy programmes.

Responsible to:

PSG Academy England Operations Managers
PSG Head Coaches

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Effectively plan, prepare and deliver sports specific sessions to the Academy.
2. To closely follow the Academy technical programmes and guidelines when planning and preparing sessions.
3. To develop players tactical, technical, social and psychological ability in line with the specific sports academy.
4. To assist Head Coaches in their delivery, whilst supporting and working collaboratively with fellow academy coaches.
5. To plan and successfully run small-sided tournaments within the academy, whilst exploring opportunities to participate in local tournaments within the community.
6. Ensure all equipment is prepared safely and appropriately for all academy sessions.
7. To complete a pre-course equipment inventory and a post-course inventory.
8. To communicate effectively with the Head Academy Coach / PSG Academy England Operations Manager in regards to improving the academy services and maintaining services.
9. Participate in CPD (Continuing Professional Development) sessions with line managers.
10. Strictly adhere to all safeguarding policies, childcare regulations and actively promote the welfare of children.
11. Ensure all health and safety measurements are accommodated for within academy sessions.
12. To report to line manager/welfare officer regarding any welfare/pastoral/child protection issues that may arise throughout the course

Job Specification:

CRB/DBS Certificate
FA Coaching Level 2 Award Minimum (FA Level 1 considered)
